The indian oil lamp, or diya, takes an important part in Hinduist ceremonies, and has been used to bless worshippers in temples or at home for generations. All the elements of the oil lamp have precise meanings and the Lotus stem wick is one of the most important.
Crafted from organic lotus stems with a tedious process done entirely by hand, this wick is believed to bring the blessings of the Indu deities Maha Lakshmi Maa and Sarasvati Maa over the worshipper. Those blessings include prosperity, wealthiness, and removal of previous birth karma.
