A shaligram or shaligrama shila is a particular variety of stone collected from riverbed or banks of the Kali Gandaki, a tributary of the Gandaki River in Nepalw which represents Lord Vishnu.
The Hrishikesha Chandrama Shaligram is named after two of the many names of Lord Vishnu. Hrishikesha refers to the lord of the senses or the master of the mind, while Chandrama means the moon or the lunar deity.
